Structures: Medium
Structures between 9m and 25m span we classify
as 'Medium'.
These structures form a large proportion of our
business, as they are ideal for the warehousing & storage requirements of
many of our clients.
Storage/Warehousing
With high eave heights these buildings can accommodate internal
forklift operation comfortably. With spans in the 'medium' category extending
to 25m they are ideal for the access and loading of large vehicles under
cover.
Racking
The high eave heights of these structures facilitate space-saving racking
systems. This inevitably helps make the hire of a temporary structure more
cost-effective.
Response Time
The more substantial nature of these buildings typically requires standard and
telescopic forklifts for their erection, larger erection crews, and often
involve more logistics in general. Consequently response times for this type
of building is typically longer than that for a small structure.
Value - Gutterlink
Where large areas of cover are needed, but a 'clearspan' solution is not
required (i.e. legs/internal uprights within the structure area are not
problematic) we can gutter together 2 or more 'medium' structures. This
usually proves more economical than moving to a larger span structure: as a
rule of thumb the larger the single span the more costly the project.
