Baled and processed waste needs to be kept dry so waste companies can sell it on at the best price. With the amount of recycling on the up though covered storage space may start running out on some recycling sites.

Temporary industrial buildings are one of the easiest ways to keep waste dry

Aganto recently supplied a storage canopy from their industrial buildings range for this very purpose at Viridor’s Trafford Park site in Manchester. They were running short on dry, covered storage space and needed something urgently to keep the baled recyclate dry. In a matter of weeks Aganto had supplied a 10m x 10m industrial building with micromesh walling as a simple and practical solution that kept the bales dry and cost low.

Industrial buildings can be taken on hire or purchase contracts but this one was hired and will serve as a temporary interim solution while the company decides on a long-term storage strategy for the Manchester site.

Simple industrial building solves big problems

The industrial building supplied was such a simple and fast solution for Viridor but one that enabled them to keep waste dry and therefore profitable. Aganto has worked with Viridor before on a couple of temporary industrial building projects. A few years ago we helped them after unpredicated damage and more recently supplied a canopy structure to trial a new recycling process. Projects like these help retain business continuity and ongoing growth for minimal cost, time and disruption.

Why are temporary industrial buildings so good for waste?

The majority of industrial buildings supplied to the waste industry are basic industrial canopies or non-insulated storage buildings. This simple specification keeps costs and build time to an absolute minimum creating economical additional space in days. With the flexible hire and purchase contracts businesses can choose just how long they use the buildings for and how much they pay.
