New workshop building for vehicle maintenance

Wiltshire Concrete, based in Devises, Wiltshire prides itself on providing a one stop shop for its customers, a similar concept to the over-arching service Aganto can often provide to their own customers.

The Wiltshire Concrete ready-mixed concrete facility offers a delivery service, with a fleet of 20 6m3, 7m3 and 8m3 truck mixers. The company also offers a wet batch collect facility at the plant where customers can collect materials in their own vehicles, amongst other services.

In order to maintain such a large and varied fleet of vehicles, Wiltshire Concrete already had their own workshops with fully trained mechanics and plant fitters to assist with any problems customers may have with their plant or vehicles.

Bringing trucks together on one site

With sprawling plants on various sites, Wiltshire needed to house all the trucks on the one site as the time and diesel wasted on travelling between an existing workshop and the main concrete plant. With the increasing fleet, it meant that Wiltshire needed to look at extending their mechanics’ working hours - not a problem at the concrete plant but a bigger issue at the previous site.

Director Mark Hutchison met with Wiltshire Concrete Managing Director, Kevin McQuaid, to go through all the options Aganto could provide, in order to help the company save crucial time and money. A 15m x 30m x 4.2m temporary warehouse was decided upon, which came with a thermo roof, sandwich walls and roller shutter doors at the front to accommodate and shelter the ever-expanding and busy fleet.

The result, greater operational efficiency

Wiltshire Concrete are thrilled with their Aganto temporary building. Director Kevin McQuaid explains,

“By choosing an Aganto building, the benefit has been an immediate and significant saving in terms of time and money and having it all on the one site. The whole process was seamless from doing the deal, erection on site to commissioning the building.”

The Aganto temporary building has also provided coverage over underground inspection pits, meaning even more space and the capacity for underground additional workshop potential without even having to move!

Mark adds:

“We are delighted to supply Wiltshire Concrete with their building, and pleased they have seen the instant results of having a quick, easy and cost-effective solution to housing their fleet. We are even more pleased that we will be supplying the guys with another temporary building!”
