They required a flexible solution that would allow them to streamline their processes without disrupting ongoing projects. To meet this requirement, Aganto delivered a [temporary building solution ](https://www.aganto.co.uk/temporary-buildings)that enabled McQuillan Boiler Services to scale their production capacity in a cost-effective way, ensuring continuity in service. ## The challenge McQuillan Boiler Services faced significant space limitations that were impacting their ability to manufacture industrial boilers efficiently. The team had been constructing boiler systems within the main on-site facility, but the existing building lacked both the space and the height needed to optimise their processes. The restricted height also prevented the installation of an overhead crane system, which was a crucial piece of equipment for manoeuvring large, heavy boilers during assembly. ## The requirements To meet the challenge and production demands, McQuillan Boiler Services required a new facility with: - At least 7 metres of internal clearance to ensure safety during the manufacturing process - Capacity for a robust overhead crane to lift and position their boilers - Increased space to minimise delays This additional height was crucial to ensuring safety during the manufacturing process, as it enabled workers to handle bulky components with ease and minimised delays caused by lack of space. ![Mc Quillan Boiler Services 2024 0043](/uploads/generic/images/projects/_1070x378_crop_center-center_none/McQuillan-Boiler-Services-2024-0043.jpg) ## Our solution Aganto’s Sales Director, David Duxbury, visited McQuillan Boiler Services to discuss their specific requirements and assess the best solution for their business needs. After thoroughly reviewing the site’s constraints and understanding the team’s operational goals, he provided a proposal for a tailored temporary structure to meet their requirements and challenge. The Aganto team scoped, provided, and installed: - A 10m x 30m [insulated workshop structure](https://www.aganto.co.uk/temporary-buildings/workshop) - 7.2m eaves to give the required internal clearance - Solid gables for heavy-duty equipment - 6-day turnaround for the installation of the temporary workshop "Aganto have provided a solution that has worked really well for us. The new temporary building has allowed us to significantly increase the manufacturing capacity on site. Once the order was confirmed, our team was able to begin the installation quickly. On-site preparation began just four weeks later, and the installation was completed within a just six days to reduce the impact on day-to-day operations.
