The world’s largest designer and manufacturer of marine pipework anti-fouling systems, Chesterfield-based Cathelco provides systems for protection against marine growth and corrosion on all types of vessels including container carriers, ferries, cruise ships, tankers, luxury yachts and offshore structures.
Cathelco was experiencing an increase in orders and required additional storage space for its finished goods, but with plans in place to move to larger premises, in the longer term a quick and cost-effective, temporary solution was sought.
On site storage solution
Having already considered hiring off-site space, but deciding against it due to difficulties in the ability to control stock and the additional expense in overheads such as transport costs, Cathelco specified a 100 sq m aluminium framed temporary unit from Aganto.
Temporary building for sloping site
Aganto was able to supply a temporary storage building specially manufactured to fit a sloping site at the facility, enabling Cathelco to get the exact amount of storage space it required whilst also taking full advantage of redundant space on site.
Aganto’s professional site development team installed the storage building into a restricted area within one week, allowing the operation to continue with minimum disruption. As Cathelco experienced further growth the original unit was later extended to 180 sq m.
Cathelco was able to reduce costs and retain control of stock with the help of a bespoke on-site temporary storage solution.
