Fashion and cosmetic retailer Asos opts for a temporary warehouse from Aganto

To save on costs and maximise storage space, online retail giant Asos replaced their old shipping container with the purchase of a 12 x 6.5 x 3.2m part-insulated warehouse from Aganto. The Asos website sells clothing and accessories, with distribution centres across the UK, Europe and America shipping to 196 countries worldwide. Flexibility to meet fluctuating demand for varying product lines and efficient management of stock and warehousing is a top priority for the business, so a smooth project delivery and changeover was required.

Following a site visit from an experienced Aganto Sales Manager, the client selected a standard specification that included a manual roller shutter door with a white insulated roof and goosewing-grey walls.

The delivery was coordinated with the container removal to minimise disruption and downtime on site. In total the building took only three days to install, with the BS EN1991 compliant build quality providing Asos with the same durability, strength and structural integrity of a more permanent structure.

Senior Workspace Manager Graeme Elliott was pleased to achieve the extra storage space and flexibility they needed, in addition to a quick turnaround, with this feedback sent to the operations team:

“Thanks for assisting in this install – looks great and can’t wait to use it!!
