Background to the temporary workshop project
Founded in 1979 Scarab is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of road sweepers. Their vast range of sweepers all share the same superior build, performance and low environmental impact and come with an after sales service that ensures this high performance level and superior quality is maintained.
When public services provider, Amey, won a contract for cleaning the city of Liverpool they ordered twenty vehicles from Scarab and also secured them as an ongoing service provider. Although Amey had a suitable site to house the vehicles there wasn’t a workshop available for Scarab’s ongoing maintenance and servicing work.
As a solution had to be found quickly Scarab and Amey between them began researching different prefabricated building solutions. After some good recommendations from a customer who had already used Aganto they got in touch and requested a site visit.
Temporary workshop solution
Aganto proposed and went on to install a 12m wide by 15m long temporary workshop with a 5m working height to the eaves. The building had non-insulated steel clad walls and an insulated roof to help prevent any condensation build up. For vehicle and personnel access two roller shutter and two pedestrian doors were installed.
It took less than a week to install the structure, meeting the fast turnaround time that was critical to both companies.
